Thomas F Measel

Thomas Fred Measel, 81, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in Lake Huron Medical Center.

He was born October 21, 1942 in Detroit to the late Norman and Leona Measel. He married Constance A. Raab on September 11, 1965 in East Detroit.

Thomas served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He was employed in the tool & die industry for many years before his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and telling stories of the past.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Constance; four daughters, April (Steve) Riley of Colorado, Ann-Marie Measel of Alger, Terri (Jeremy) Danis of Algonac and Trish (Del) Gentile of St. Clair; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Chareese, Richard, Joey, Wyatt, Kacy and Abraham. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman in 2021.

A memorial luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in Blue Water Aerie #3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2645 Howard St., Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
