Leo J Murphy

Leo James Murphy, 8, of Port Huron, went to Heaven on Thursday, December 7, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born September 10, 2015 in Port Huron and was currently a 2nd grader at Garfield Elementary School. During his battle, Leo captured the hearts of the community with his beautiful spirit and brave attitude. During the years since his diagnosis at age 3, Leo lived life to the fullest. He loved playing basketball and Fortnite, listening to Michael Jackson and Eminem, collecting awesome shoes, and going to school to see his buddies and wonderful teacher. One of the many neat wishes granted to Leo was a ride in a Lamborghini!

Leo is survived by his mother, Jennifer Lynn Ward; three siblings, Rose Ward, Chad Michalski and Bentley Ward; his grandmother, Debbie Ward; two uncles, Dayten Louvett and James Ward Jr.; niece, Gianna Ward; nephew, Capone Parker; cousin, Lola Ward; and many, many incredible members of the community who have become like family.

Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023 and 12 - 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home with a time of sharing at 4:00 p.m.
