Ronald G Barr

Ronald George Barr, 78, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, December 17, 2023.

He was born September 18, 1945 in Port Huron to the late George and Emma Barr. He married Linda Lewandowski on August 27, 1966 in Port Huron. She died May 24, 2019.

Mr. Barr graduated from Port Huron High School in 1953. He was employed with Grand Trunk Western Railroad in the repair shop prior to his retirement. He was a past Worthy President and current trustee of Fraternal Order of Eagles Blue Water Aerie #3702. Ron was very mechanical and owned and built hot rods, rebuilt Corvettes, and did custom car painting. He enjoyed boating, going to the casino, and having a good time with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, who he dearly loved, Chris (Lisa) Barr; a brother, Jerry Barr; three sisters-in-law, Geri Steemburg, Karen Lewandowski and Betty Barr; his girlfriend, Beverly Loxton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; a brother, Bill Barr, two brothers-in-law, Gary Steemburg and Robert G. Lewandowski; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Barr.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Scott Steemburg, Tim Sterosky, Tony Fayed, Mark Lewandowski, Geoff Lewandowski and Benny Carmody.

A luncheon will follow from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Eagles, 2645 Howard St., Port Huron.
