Jerome J "Jerry" Lupo

Jerome Joseph “Jerry” Lupo, 69, of Marysville, died Thursday, December 28, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 7, 1954 in Detroit to the late Guiseppi and Grazia Lupo. He married Concetta Serra on November 4, 1978 in Detroit.

Jerry was employed for 33 years with Ford Motor Company. He was a long-time member of St. Christopher Catholic Church where he helped with Funeral Luncheons and the Easter Vigil Reception. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, painting figurines and model cars and Ford Mustangs.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Concetta; two wonderful daughters, Grace (Richard) Benoit and Trina (Ryan) Quinn; three grandchildren, Lillian Benoit, Kate Quinn and Claire Quinn and one grandson on the way; mother-in-law, Patrina “Pat” Serra; sister-in-law, Diane Lupo; brother-in-law, Nick (Anita) Serra; sister-in-law, Grace (Karl) Kleinhardt; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Lupo.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Lupo will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Arthur Baranowski will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kerry Kirby, Charles Lupo, Nicolo Serra, Jon Hartline, Robert and Sam Kleinhardt, Richard Benoit and Ryan Quinn.
