Gary D Harmer

Gary Douglas Harmer, 83, of Marysville, formerly of Jenison, Michigan, died Friday, December 29, 2023.

He was born November 19, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Frank and Gretchen Harmer.

Gary graduated from Port Huron High School in 1958 and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Central Michigan University. He was a 4th grade elementary school teacher with the Godwin Heights Public Schools in Wyoming, Michigan from 1963-1994.

He is survived by cousins, Marcia Chapman, Susan Davis, Evie (Amy) Derry and Jim (Maggie) Derry. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Harmer and two cousins, Cheryll and Terry Harmer.

No services are scheduled at the time. A spring memorial gathering will be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
