Obituary

Marvin Miller, Sr., 67, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 31, 2023.

He was born June 9, 1956 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Bessie and Woodrow J. Miller, Sr.

Marvin was a 1974 graduate of Port Huron High School. He went on to attend St. Bernard College in Alabama where he played basketball. He was employed at Diamond Crystal for several years and retired from Dunn Paper. He enjoyed fishing, basketball and telling jokes. His famous saying when he thought someone was out of order was “Oh no we can’t have that”. He especially loved hearing his niece, Barbara, sing the song, “Nobody Greater”, every time he saw her.

He leaves to mourn his passing his son, Marvin Miller, Jr.; daughter, Jasmine Miller; ten siblings, Margaret (Paul) Thelmas, Annette Miller, Gregory (Senorthia) Miller, J.C. (Susan) Miller, Susan Manns, Darnell Miller, Yolanda Dixon, Michael (Glenda) Miller, Albert Miller and Patrick (Dorothy) Miller; many nieces and nephews; and his two best friends, Ella Lincoln and Erica Sisson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Woodrow J. Miller Sr.; his two brothers, Woodrow Miller, Jr. and James Miller; and sister, Joyce Pimpleton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. Dr. Carl Miller will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
