Dorothy E Alexander

Dorothy Elizabeth Alexander, of Port Huron, peacefully passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the age of 92 in Peoria, Arizona surrounded by her family. She was born March 4, 1931 to Hugo and Dorothy Geick in Port Huron. She married William Alexander on May 19, 1956 in Port Huron. He died July 12, 2014.

She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and also attended Faith Lutheran Church. While at both congregations, she was very active in Sunday School activities for many years as well as the Lutheran Ladies Aid.

Dorothy spent the last five years of her life in Arizona where she wintered for many years with her husband after their retirement. During retirement she was a regular volunteer for hospitals and the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Alexander was devoted to her family and enjoyed playing games, reading, working on puzzles and spending time with her extended family.

She is survived by two children, Doug (Jamie) Alexander and Lynn (Robert) Tomaselli as well as five grandchildren, Kristen Wilson, Ryan Peeling, Christopher Tomaselli, Haley Scheffler, Kelsey Alexander and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Mary Jones of Missouri and Shirley Nichols of Port Huron.

Cremation has taken place. Services will be held this summer in Port Huron. Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
