Janice Arlena Johnson, 87, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
She was born June 8, 1936 in Port Huron to the late Betty Jean and Louis Little and was a lifetime area resident.
Janice graduated from Port Huron High School. She retired from American Tape. She was a faithful lifelong member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she was president of the Missionary Society and never missed Bible study.
She leaves to mourn her passing her longtime friend and companion, James S. Curry; nephew, Eugene Little; great-nephew, Collin Little; eight cousins, Gloria Winfield, Marcia Hogan, Julie Green, Cheryl Gray, Karan Lucido, Krista Young, David Lewis and Terrance Green; dear friends, Yvonne Malachi, Luretha Jackson, Cheryl Small, Correen Woodley and Cindy Martin; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Johnson; niece, Michelle Little; and most recently, by her dear brother, Sherman Eugene Little.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2024 in Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 12 noon. The Reverend Arthur Turner will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
