Thomas Lysle Smith

Thomas Lysle Smith, 65, of Burtchville Township, died Sunday, January 7, 2024.

He was born May 12, 1958 in Port Huron to the late Charles and Betty Smith. He married Nancy Zuehlke on July 22, 1978 in Port Huron.

Thomas was a 1976 graduate of Port Huron High School. He was employed at Black River Manufacturing for many years before his retirement. He was member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy; daughter, Rebecca (Brent) Murray; son, Robert Lysle Smith (fiancé Jen Inch-Hornbostel); six grandchildren, Austin and Yasmine Henry, Nathan and Ariana Murray and Cheyanne and Kodie Smith; three siblings, Debera (Bruce) Larner, Charles (Dawn Peltz) Smith and Robert Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 in First United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Robert Chapman will officiate.

Burial will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Bob Smith, Austin Henry, Nathan Murray, Charles Smith and Kodie Smith.
