William Earl Gushwa, 85, of Grant Township, died Monday, January 8, 2024 unexpectedly.
He was born June 18, 1938 in Sparlingville to the late Joseph L. and Mary K. Gushwa. He married Sandra L. Genaw on February 26, 1957 in Georgia. She preceded him in death on February 16, 2022 after 60 years of marriage.
William worked for Wirtz Manufacturing for many years prior to his retirement. He loved old cars, guns, hunting and genealogy.
He is survived by his loving sister, Gloria Corey; his brothers-in-law, Joel (Kathy) Genaw and James Genaw; grandchildren, Joel (Kara) Genaw, Julianne (Cory) Bradley and Jessica (Luke) Janusch; great grandchildren, Paislee, Tyler, Mae, Joel III, Wesley and Maverick; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog, Teddy and cat, Peanut.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Croswell Cemetery.
