Obituary

Denise Moore, 74, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2024.

She was born July 13,1949 in Port Huron to the late Alberta Brown and William H. Miller Sr.

Denise retired from AT&T as a bill collector and also dedicated over 30 years as a C.N.A. Her journey encompassed a remarkable span of 74 years. She was a gentle soul whose presence never failed to light up a room. Known for her unwavering kindness and warm smile, Denise left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit of compassion and generosity will forever be remembered as a beacon of love within the Port Huron community. Though Denise has departed this earthly realm, her legacy of love and kindness lives on.

She enjoyed singing, dancing, and interior design. Denise devoted her spare time to special needs and homeless individuals. She was also a member of Restoration Christian Community Church where she sang on the praise and worship team.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Sonya Moore, Eyvette Moore and Renee Graham-Carnes; her granddaughter, Kayla Moore; siblings, Diana Brabson, William H. (Yvonne) Miller Jr., Dr. Carl (Deborah) Miller, Debra (Thomas) McNair, Kimberly Miller West, Douglas Jones, Karen "KK" Jones, Veronica Miller, Alkynee Miller, Leza Sumner and Kenny Jones; and all her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Kayla Wright, Betty Moore, Robin Howell; waiting for Denise with open arms at the golden gates of heaven will be her parents, Alberta Brown, Buster Brown and William H Miller.

Until we meet again Mama. We shall keep a place for you in our heart, so we can always feel you. You will rest with the angels now and let your soul be free. It broke our hearts to lose you. But you will not be alone.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Restoration Christian Community Church. Dr. Carl Miller will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
