Judith Ann Frazer, 83, of Kimball Township, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 18, 2024 after a long struggle with dementia.
She was born February 2, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Clayton and Eleanor Simmons.
Judy attended Marysville Schools and was a 1958 graduate of Marysville High School. She met Sherwood Frazer during high school and they were married shortly after her graduation. Judy spent the first few years of their marriage as a military wife in Japan, Texas and Idaho. After starting a family, Sherwood and Judy returned to the Blue Water area. She worked for many years at Morton Salt Company and later started her own cleaning business, Tip Top Cleaning. Despite working hard outside the home, Judy was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother who was always there for her family. She was a longtime member of Smiths Creek American Legion Post 525 Auxiliary and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Judy loved the sunshine, and later in life she and Sherwood spent many wonderful winters in Conway, South Carolina.
Judy is survived by her husband, Sherwood; three children, Allan (Barb) Frazer, Lori (Timothy) Warchuck and Charles (Ruby) Frazer; six grandchildren, Jeff (Katie) Frazer, Thomas (Miranda) Frazer, Justin Warchuck, Brooke (Adam) Carter, Jason (Courtney) Sklba and Jonathon (Jennifer) Sklba; 10 great grandchildren, Levi, Allissa, Taylor, Sherwood, Riley, Joslyn, Boone, Nash, Tanner and Ella; a sister, Barbara Frendt; brother, Richard Simmons; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Simmons.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
