Carol J Miller

Carol June Miller, 86, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

She was born June 19, 1937 in Flint to the late Clarence and Dorothy Washburn. She married Larry G. Miller on November 27, 1957 in Port Huron.

Carol was a 1955 graduate of Port Huron High School. She was a long-time member of St. John’s United Church of Christ where she served on the board of Christian Nuture and the Church Council. She enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends for over 40 years and playing cards with her family, who were her greatest treasure. She loved to cook and bake, especially apple pie for her husband who would always sneak a piece for dinner.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Larry; son, Steven (Kimberly) Miller; two daughters, Julie (Timothy) Rock and Heidi (Paul) Bartle; seven grandchildren, Jillian (John) Bertich, Katelin (Darnell) Kidd, Christopher (Brenna) Miller, Joshua (Stacie Herrera) Rock, Thomas (Melissa Neacato) Rock, Matthew (Ana Fuentes) Bartle and Laura (Daniel) Gaffney; great grandchildren, Donovan and Daylen Kidd, Cora Rock, Brooklyn, Graham and Gavin Rock, Beckett and Quinn Ciesielski, Callum and Clara Gaffney, Brexley Miller, Reese, Brock, Dylan and Mia; two brothers, David (Loretta) Washburn and Brian (Patricia) Washburn; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 in St. John’s United Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 12 noon. The Reverend William Wingrove will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
