James R Gorrell

James Robert Gorrell, 73, of Port Huron, died Thursday, March 8, 2012.

He was born March 13, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio. He married Linda Provost Duckworth on September 8, 1973 in Port Huron. She died October 11, 2011.

Mr. Gorrell was an auto detailer with Koppinger Auto. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards, cooking out and spending time with his family.

He is survived by four children, Kelly Duckworth, Mark Duckworth, Lisa Duckworth and James Gorrell, Jr.; 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry (Ethel) Provost, Daniel (Debbie) Provost, Barry (Cathy) Provost, Joseph (Mary Ellen) Provost, Brenda (Joe Blatt) Ross and Carol Gracy.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:30 p.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
