Hugh F. VanAmburg

Hugh Franklin VanAmburg, 80, of Ortonville, Michigan, died Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

He was born August 18, 1943 in Salinas, California to the late Keith H. and Arlene D. VanAmburg. Hugh graduated from Palo Verde High School in Blythe, California and spent his career as a machinist. He loved spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two sons, Tony and Terry VanAmburg; step-daughter, Jenny (Matt) Ciolek; step-sons, Mike (Tina) Olsen, Dan Olsen, Eric (Mandy) Olsen: sister, Judy Brossard; brother, Robert (Sue) Jones; and step-brother Gene (Janet) Luppino. He was preceded in death by his parents, and beloved step-mother, Neoma “Blondie” VanAmburg.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Caledonia Township in the spring.
