Isabel Katherine Walsh, 92, of Port Huron, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 17, 1919 in Detroit to the late Edward and Elizabeth Mullin. She married James G. Walsh on August 14, 1939 in Detroit. He died June 3, 1990.
Mrs. Walsh was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. She loved to spend time with her family, shop, travel, play cards and bingo, and go to garage sales .
She is survived by seven daughters, Donna (Ray) Dobleske of Grayling, Kathleen (Douglas) Duncan of Richmond, Patricia (Harold) Parmann of Barton City, MaryAnn (Ronald) Bagwell of Tennessee, Janet Stevenson of Grayling, Ginny (Barry) Nannini of St. Clair Shores, and Lynn (Brent) Jacob of Harper Woods; five sons, Daniel (Kitty) Walsh of Richmond, James “Corky” (Barbara) Walsh of Memphis, John (Barbara) Walsh of Memphis, Kenneth “Buckwheat” (Theresa) Walsh of Memphis, and Thomas Walsh of Armada; 40 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a son-in-law, Tim Kelly of Wales; two brothers, Donald Mullin of Florida and Edward (Joyce) Mullin of Grayling; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Kelly; a son, Robert Walsh; a granddaughter, Sandra Dobleske; a great grandson, Davis Pierce; a son-in-law, Mark Stevenson; and two brothers, Jack and Thomas Mullin.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Monday and 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mrs. Walsh will lie in state from 10:30 until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Arthur Baranowski will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family (checks payable to Lynn Jacob) for a cause very dear to Isabel’s heart.
