Joanna Hollis-Agbadu

January 31st, 1971 to February 29th, 2024

Joanna Lynn Hollis-Agbadu, 53, of Ann Arbor, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

She was born January 31, 1971 in Port Huron to the late Nathaniel and Mary Jane Hollis-Powell. She married Victor Agbadu on October 8, 2014 in Benin, Nigeria.

Joanna worked in medical billing and coding at Henry Ford Hospital and most recently customer tech support with Comcast Cable. She was currently studying psychology at Washtenaw Community College. She enjoyed traveling and watching reality T.V. She was also a foodie who loved to cook.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Victor; siblings, Carmelita (Ronald) Nettles, twin brother, James E. Hollis, Nathan F. Hollis, Phillip J. Hollis, Karen E. Hollis-Smith, Dr. Deborah K. Hollis and Anna E. Hollis-Kander; lifelong best friend, Regina Uhunmwangho; godsons, Darnell Burns and Darien Burns; step-son, Victor Agbadu Jr.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Juliet Agbadu-Okpame and Lawrence Agbadu; in-laws, Patience Agbadu and Henry Agbadu; nephew, Jermaine W. (Angela) Hollis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Dillon D’Andrade, Deidre Sorrentini, Elizabeth Glenn, Lori L. Hollis and Michael E. Hollis; step-father, Gordon Powell; and step-daughter, Ochawa Agbadu.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Carl E. Miller will officiate.

Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
