Pamela L Gates

Pamela Lea Gates, of Marysville, Michigan, was a beloved grandmother, mother, sister and wife during her wonderful 79 years of life. She passed away peacefully at her home in the early hours of Monday, March 11, 2024.

She was born March 31, 1944 in Ford City, Pennsylvania. She married Grover Gates on June 10, 1973 in Flint.

Pam, also known by her grandkids as Nany, was a spitfire of a woman. She loved her family fiercely and carried herself with unmatched grace and wit. She was loved dearly and will be forever missed.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Grover; two sisters, Debbie (Ray) and Joy; two granddaughters, Kaitlin (Michael) and Tatiana; two grandsons, Derek and Ben; six great-granddaughters, Isabel, Eliza, Haidyn, Reagan, Morgan, and Amina; and three great-grandsons, Callum, Damian and Remi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Elsie Harkleroad; brothers, Craig and Bob; and daughter, Jill.

Private family services will be held.

Pamela has been cremated and will be laid to rest in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Coats for Kids or the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
