Emory Floyd, Jr.

May 24th, 1930 to March 13th, 2024

Emory Lee Floyd Jr., 93, of Port Huron, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

He was born May 24, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Alice and Emory Floyd Sr. He married Bette McAllister on June 24, 1950 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on September 6, 2022 after 72 years of marriage.

Emory served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked alongside his family at their furniture store for over 45 years before his retirement. He was a devoted member of Grace Life Baptist Church where he served in many capacities. He enjoyed off-roading in his dune buggy, riding his motorcycle and traveling in his motorhome.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Haines; four sons, Emory (Laura) Floyd III, Terry (Laurie) Floyd, Jeff (Tracy) Floyd and Tim (Holly) Floyd; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Jacob “Terry” (Agnes) Borkowski; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Don Haines.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Grace Life Baptist Church, 7040 Imlay City Road, Clyde, MI with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Matt McPhillips will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be his sons. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
