Dr. Daniel E "Dan" Lewis

Dr. Daniel E. “Dan” Lewis, 77, of Seminole, FL died Saturday, March 16, 2024, at HCA Florida Largo Hospital, Largo, FL. Born December 6, 1946, in Brunswick, ME, he came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in 1956. Dan graduated from Yarmouth High School in 1965. In 1968, he graduated from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. That same year Dan married Kathleen Hall of Port Huron, MI on June 8 and was ordained to the ministry by the Coopersville Bible Church, Coopersville, MI. He accepted the pastorate of the South Gardner Baptist Church in South Gardner, ME in 1969.

Over the next fifty-five years, Dr. Lewis devoted himself to teaching the Bible, preaching, and ministering with music in various churches in the US and internationally. Dan received his Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary. Dr. Lewis was an associate pastor of Grace Connection Church, in St. Petersburg, FL as well as executive director of International Association of Grace Ministries (IAGM). He often traveled to teach and encourage those serving Christ in various parts of the world.

Dr. Lewis is survived by his daughter, Dawn Lewis of Scarborough, ME; and brother, Kenny (Sharon) Lewis of Holden, ME. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathleen; brother, Wendell; and parents, Wendell and Marjorie Lewis.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Connection Church, 5000 10th Street N., St. Petersburg, FL, 33703 at 11:00 am. on April 13. 2024. Burial was in Ruby Cemetery, Ruby, MI.
