Obituary

Stephen Paul “Steve” Wagley, 77, of Port Huron, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 22, 2024.

He was born March 27, 1946 in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Reverend Paul and Viola Wagley.

1968 was a big year, Steve graduated from Indiana University on June 6th, married Marcella “Marcy” VanDamme on June 8th, and was drafted into the U.S. Army on July 8th.

Steve received his CPA certificate in 1972 and retired from Frohm, Kelley, Butler & Ryan PC in 2008. He loved his Savior, his wife and family, his church and Brown City Camp. He enjoyed working with wood, model railroading, mowing grass and being a “behind the scenes” grunt for Marcy’s various endeavors. He especially looked forward to spending the summers at the Brown City Camp, helping out in a variety of ways.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcy; children, Rebecca (Stephen) Harris, Mark (Laural) Wagley and Rachel (Chris) Poe; seven grandchildren, Madelyn (Michael) Jaimes, Courtney Harris (Alex Tarvainen), Tucker Harris, Riley Poe, Easton Harris, Hayden Wagley and Holden Wagley; one great grandchild, Sonam Jaimes; brothers, Tim (Irene), Tom (Liz) and Nate (Lorraine) Wagley; and brothers-in-law, Thomas VanDamme and James VanDamme.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
