Patricia Ann "Trish" (Leavitt) Hlavac

Patricia Ann (Leavitt) Hlavac, 67, of Port Huron, died Monday, March 25, 2024.

She was born on August 1, 1956 in Port Huron to the late Johanna C. and Harvey E. Leavitt.

Patricia graduated from Port Huron Central High School and the University of Nebraska Omaha. She spent her career as an accountant, working with many small businesses. Trish served in the U.S. Air Force during the Gulf War from 1979 to 1995, living in various places including Germany, Colorado and Washington. More recently, Trish found community with her Station Wesleyan Church family.

Trish loved to travel, and especially enjoyed the time she spent driving on the open road to her destinations. She also loved crafting, hiking, visiting amusement parks and sharing those passions with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, with their photos adorning the walls of her home. Trish cared very deeply about others and loved her family and friends fiercely.

She is survived by her daughters, Aimee (Steven) Cooper, and Amanda (Andrew) Kingman; grandchildren, Lana, Erica, Emmett, Adeline, Jacklynn, Elias and Rowan; sister, Kathleen (Dean) Myers; partner, Lou Balogh; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Thomas Leavitt.

A Memorial Service honoring Trish’s life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at The Station Wesleyan Church, 4819 Lapeer Road Suite A, Kimball Township.

Graveside services with Military Honors conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Allied Veterans Cemetery, 3925 Gratiot Avenue, Port Huron. Friends are invited to attend either or both events.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
