George Cini, 93, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, April 18, 2024.
He was born July 7, 1930 in Detroit to the late Dominic and Elizabeth Cini. He married Nancy Everly on June 24, 1950 in Holy Trinity Church in Corktown, Detroit. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2022 after 72 years of marriage.
George served in the U.S. Army and then was employed as a Lithographer for many years before his retirement. He was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed gardening. He was a very giving person who put everyone’s needs ahead of his own.
He is survived by his son, George E. Cini; daughter, Anna Lisa (Mike) Aubert; four grandchildren, Eric Cini, Shawn Deyell (Shawn Ehler), Jacqueline (Kevin) Martin and Amy Aubert; four great grandchildren, Skylar, Donavan, Kadence and Jordan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandson, David Deyell; and five siblings, Joseph, Robert, James, Charles and Kate.
A memorial service for both George and Nancy will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot. Military honors for George will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army.
