Jeffrey L Strode

Jeffrey Lee Strode, 73, of Marysville, died Monday, April 29, 2024.

He was born May 24, 1950 in Canton, Illinois to the late Frank and Betty Jean Strode. He married Karen Quaine Folco on October 3, 1981 in Marysville.

Jeffrey served with the Marysville Police Department for over 30 years retiring as the Assistant Police Chief. After his retirement, Jeff and Karen spent 20 years in Central Florida before returning last year to Marysville. He served in the U.S. Army Military Police during the Vietnam era. Jeff enjoyed golfing, boating, playing basketball and fishing. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen; two children, Heather (Greg) Rousey and Jeremy Strode; stepson, John (Rieko) Folco II; grandchildren, Isaiah, Olivia, and Alaina Rousey, Cullen Strode, Ryder, Rayna and Colin Folco; in-laws, Linda (Les) Newberry-Porter, Pat (Joela) Quaine, David (Linda) Quaine, Dan Quaine and Mike Quaine; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jon Strode.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024 with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. in Pilgrim Lutheran Church. The Reverend Michael Opfermann will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Burial was in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
