Walter R May

Walter R. May, 81, of Port Huron, died Monday, April 29, 2024.

He was born January 30, 1943 in Port Huron to the late John and Marion May. He married Rolanda Marie Vanpoelvoorde on May 24, 1967. She preceded him in death on July 19, 2013 after 46 years of marriage.

Walter was a retired electrician and a member of Electrical Workers Local 58. He enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with Rolanda at their home in Lakeland. Walter also enjoyed playing golf and watching sports, especially when it involved watching his children and grandchildren. He also had a passion for Corvettes, owning three himself.

He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Amy, Michael and Michelle; and four granddaughters, Lauren (Natalie) Sikkenga, Payton May (Seth Lewis), Ashley May, and Olivia May.

Graveside services will be held this summer in Riverlawn Cemetery.
