Marcella R Gingras

Marcella Ruth Gingras, 76, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

She was born November 6, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harold and Poneotia Goodwin. Marcella married Fredrick Gingras in 1977 and they were married until his death on May 23, 2012.

Marcella was a trucking dispatcher for many years before her retirement. A life-long learner, she obtained a Masters Degree from Grand Valley State University later in life. Marcella was kind, caring and self-less. She always wanted to help others, especially those who needed it most, and even when she had to go without in order to help. She also had a very tender heart towards animals.

She is survived by five children, Michael (Rebecca) Miller, Poneotia (Michael) Herron, Tammy Miller, Rhonda (John) Groh and George “Scott” Gingras; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and half-sister, Tami Musante. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.
