Lula M Bennett

Lula M. Bennett, 90, of Wales Township, died Monday, May 27, 2024.

She was born April 22, 1934 in Memphis, Michigan to the late Anton and Florence Konyha. She married Bernard W. Bennett on May 18, 1956 in Goodells.

Lula was a legal secretary with St. Clair County until she had her children. She enjoyed watching the birds and growing her award-winning flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard, who was the love of her life for 68 years; children, Bernard F. (Marrill) Bennett, Bobbi Lu Bennett (Mark Stout) and Brent Bennett; grandchildren, Jessica McKelvey (Tim), Jonathon (Olivia) Bennett, Sammy Bennett, Britnee Pannell (Billy Thein), T. Austin Pannell and Maddison Pannell (Dylan Cooper); three great grandchildren; brother, Marvin (Jan) Konyha; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Donald, Eileen, Wilma, and Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12 noon. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wales Township.
