Ronald J Harrison, Sr.
Ronald Jay Harrison Sr., 100 of Port Huron, formerly of Croswell, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
He was born December 16, 1923 in Jeddo, to the late Elmer and Mildred Harrison. He married Beverley Ann Parks on September 17, 1946 in Oakland, Maryland. After 69 years of marriage, she died on April 9, 2016.
Ron was employed at the Times Herald as an Assistant Circulation Manager, and served as a U.S. Merchant Marine. He was a devoted Christian and longtime member of the Gideons International.
He is survived by his three daughters, Marie (Dennis) London, Arlene (Joel) Barker and Charlene Harrison; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; and sister, Aleitha Johnson. He was preceded in death by his sons, Charles and Ronald Harrison, Jr.; two sisters, Avis Hale and Wylla Courtney; and four brothers, Orville, Cecil, William “Keith” and Wendell Harrison.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
