James Alexander

September 7th, 1940 to March 16th, 2012
James Patrick “Pat” Alexander, 71, of Port Huron, died Friday, March 16, 2012.

He was born September 7, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Russell and Florence Alexander. He married Suzanne Brittain on October 22, 1960 in Port Huron. She died January 3, 2010.

Mr. Alexander was a truck driver with several area trucking companies and for 10 years was a Council on Aging bus driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, taking walks with his wife and spending time with his family. Every morning he could be found at Windchill’s Donut Shop having coffee and donuts with his buddies. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3702.

He is survived by four children, Edwin (Pamela) Alexander, Brian (Carolyn) Alexander, James Alexander and Marie Alexander; nine grandchildren, Joshua (fiancé, Jackie), Brandi, Amanda (Jose), Amber, Nicholas (Kayla), Michelle (Jeff), Heather, Lacy and Shane; eight great grandchildren, Promyse, Honezty, Keyanna, Blake, Addison, Lydia, Bentley and Serenitti; a sister, Lynn; brother, Douglas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jessie Patrick Alexander; brothers, Robert and Willie and a sister, Anna Mae.

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Lupus Foundation.
