Robert J McPherson Jr.

Robert J. McPherson Jr., 72, of Burtchville Township, died Friday, June 14, 2024, with his wife and son at his side.

He was born September 8, 1951 in St. Clair to the late Lorraine and Robert J. McPherson Sr. He married Anne J. Kirkpatrick in Marysville on June 29, 1985.

Everyone who met Bob recognized his kind and generous spirit. He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed visiting local coffee spots with his Kindle on hand. A lifelong resident of the Bluewater area, he graduated from St. Clair County Community College and Walsh College. He retired from SEMCO Energy after 42 years of service in several roles. A lover of the outdoors, he was often found at the beach, kayaking, walking, or bike riding. He was a member of Cornerstone Church and a supporter of Friends of the St. Clair River.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Anne; son, Ryan (Ellen) McPherson; sister, Sharon (Bert) Roths; brother-in-law, Joel (Beth) Kirkpatrick; sister-in-law, Joanna (Keith) Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in Cornerstone Church. The Reverend Peter Foxwell will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
