Caryl A Butler

Caryl Ann Butler, 79, of Marysville, died Sunday June 30, 2024.

She was born January 8, 1945 in Cass City to the late Thomas J. and Edyth Atfield. She married Lawrence F. “Larry” Butler on July 20, 1963 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2017 after 54 years of marriage.

Caryl was a talented seamstress, running her own alteration business for many years. She was a longtime member of Marysville Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Caryl and Larry spent many hours watching all of their activities.

She is survived by her son, Bill (Shellie) Butler; and three grandchildren, Lane, Tommy and Brian Butler. She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Scot Butler; and brother, David Atfield.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Curtis Clarke will officiate.
