Kathleen A "Kathie" Pollet

November 7th, 1944 to July 12th, 2024

Kathleen Ann Pollet, 79, of Marysville, formerly of Warren, died Friday, July 12, 2024.

She was born November 7, 1944 in Tacoma, Washington to the late Stanley and Rose Wojtanowicz. She married Lawrence Robert Pollet on January 30,1965 in Warren. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2009 after 44 years of marriage.

In her early years, Kathie spent much of her time with her family riding horses. Later, she enjoyed riding motorcycles and restoring cars. Kathleen worked in customer service at MP Pumps for 20 years before her retirement in 2009.

Kathleen was the backbone of her family. She loved and cherished every member, but was especially fond of her grandchildren. One special tradition Kathie initiated was the Pollet gathering on Christmas Eve. She was also very devoted to her faith. She attended and graduated from Catholic school and was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.

Kathleen is survived by a son, Darrin (Tina) Pollet; a daughter, Tracy (Greg) Poma; five grandchildren, Katelyn and Evan Pollet, Alyssa (Jason) Schaal, Nick (Ashley Bell) Poma, and Jillian Poma; great grandchild, Lexi Schaal; sister Rosemary Johnson of California; two sisters-in-law, Carol (Richard) Darga, Jayne (Paul) Perrault; brother-in-law, Duane (Laurie) Pollet; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Vern, Stanley, Richard and John Wojtanowicz, and Dorothy Jones.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Kathleen will lie in-state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township. Pallbearers will be Kathie’s family.
