Phyllis B (McCormick) Hill

Phyllis B. (McCormick) Hill, 89, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

She was born December 15, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Bruce and Jean McCormick. She was the beloved longtime friend of Russell Heldt, who died December 12, 2018.

Phyllis was a nurse at Lake Huron Medical Center, formerly Mercy Hospital, for 25 years. She loved caring for and helping others. She liked solving word search puzzles and dominos was her game of choice. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by three children, Gayle Dunbar (Michael Kowalczek), Debra Dobson and Randy Young; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, James McCormick; sister, Margaret “Marnie” Crowe; and several other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Angela Dobson; and ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12 noon. Her nephew, Pastor Bob McCormick will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be Randy Young, Randy Young Jr., Caleb Fuller, Chris Fuller, Jared Fuller and Bob McCormick.
