Dewey Lee Jackson, 95, of Memphis, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
He was born January 22, 1929 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Ethan “Logan” and Maggie Jackson. He married Ida Chemin on August 8, 1948 in Georgia. She passed away on March 6, 2024, after 75 years of marriage.
Dewey was employed at Empire Tool in in Memphis for over 50 years and also was a Television Repairman. He enjoyed traveling, tinkering in the garage, grafting his fruit trees in the yard, playing Nintendo video games with his grandchildren and Dan; and anything to do with computers.
He is survived by his three children, Betty Gean Turck, Tom (Claire) Jackson, and Tammy Benn (Daniel Schutt); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony and Tim Jackson.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Lambs Cemetery, Wales Township.
