Robert Baur
Robert C. “Bob” Baur, Jr., 42, of Marysville, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, March 23, 2012.
He was born October 13, 1969 in Port Huron. He married Diane M. Hillaker on October 11, 2003 in Marysville.
Mr. Baur worked in injection molding at Elite Mold & Engineering, Inc. in Shelby Township. He was a 1988 graduate of Marysville High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching freighters from the Marysville board walk. Bob was also a Red Wings and Tigers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; a brother, Christopher (Amy) Baur of Port Huron Township; his grandmother, Verna McLarty of Yale; his father, Robert Baur Sr. of North Street; his step father, Ken Mathews (Rachel Stark) of St. Clair; his wife’s parents, Jerry & Sharon Hillaker of Snover; his wife’s sisters, Sara (Tim) Ladd of Evart and Jennifer Hillaker of Southfield; his favorite niece, Kaylee Ladd and four nephews, Alex & Jake Baur and Trevin & Jacob Ladd; and close friend, David Closs of Marysville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie L. Mathews and best friend, Alan Bushey.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday in the Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue, Marysville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Marysville United Methodist Church. The Reverend Barbara Welbaum will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris, Alex & Jake Baur, Tim & Trevin Ladd and David Closs.
