Elaine L Shirkey

Elaine Louise Shirkey, 73, of Kimball Township, died Thursday, August 8, 2024.

She was born May 2, 1951 in Lexington to the late Wilbur and Bernice Smith. She married William Shirkey on August 26, 1978 in Port Huron.

Elaine was employed as a Hi Lo operator and a shipping and receiving clerk for 30 years before her retirement. She enjoyed crafts, photography and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William; four children, William (Kelly) Shirkey Jr., Evi (Eric) Santilli, Bryan (Lindsey) Shirkey and James (Serena) Shirkey; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four siblings, Eleanor Genaw, Gordon (Cheryl) Smith, Stella Hoskins and Wil (Kathy) Smith; sister-in-law, Sue Smith; and brother-in-law, Brian Carrier. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Karen Carrier, Orville “Chuck” Smith and Julie Smith.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Elaine’s niece, Reverend Amanda Rose will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City.
