Frances L Lewandowski

Frances L. Lewandowski, 96, of Fort Gratiot, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

She was born December 24, 1927 to the late Frank and Annie Wheeler. She married William Doan on February 23, 1946 and they spent 17 years together before he passed on February 28, 1963. Frances married Richard Lewandowski in July of 1966 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2019 after 53 years of marriage.

Frances was a school bus driver for 22 years, after that she was a substitute in the kitchens for several years with the Port Huron School District. She was a loving and devoted mother and a member of Ross Bible Church.

She is survived by her children, Carol Lavere, Stephanie (Marty) Pevec, Brian (Sandy) Doan, and Annette Sparks; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Snyder; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven and David Doan; a stepson Richard Lewandowski II; a granddaughter Tina Spooner; and a sister, Nancy Newberry.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 in Lakeside Cemetery Chapel. The Reverend Tim Clark of Ross Bible Church will officiate.
