Kevin K Vollmar

Kevin Kyle Vollmar, 57, of Port Huron, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

He was born March 20, 1967 in Port Huron to the late Bobby and Betty Vollmar.

Kevin had a long career at Dunn Paper Mill until the plant’s closure in 2022. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, watching the Red Wings and being with friends at the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #158 where he made many fond memories with his children.

He is survived by his five children, Amber Vollmar (Steve Yasoni), Brandi Vollmar (Jake Jacobs), Kyle Vollmar (Emma Graffam), Betsy (Zak) Bitzinger and Allison (David) Fournier; their mother, April McTaggart; three grandchildren, Deckard Bitzinger, Winnifred Fournier and Brooklynn Vollmar; siblings, Robbin Mazur, Tracy (Dave) Vowell, Jody (Mark) Stager and Martin Vollmar; lifelong friend, John Olshove (Theresa Alexander); and dear friend, Maggie Gobie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kim Vollmar; brother, Royce Vollmar; and brother-in-law, Jim Mazur.

A memorial event to celebrate Kevin’s life will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Blue Water Aerie #3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles.
