Carlyle J Nugent Jr.

Carlyle Jones Nugent Jr., 80, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, August 30, 2024.

He was born November 7, 1943 in Port Huron to the late Mary and Carlyle Nugent Sr.

Carlyle was employed with Grand Trunk Western Railroad for many years prior to his retirement. He loved riding his motorcycle, enjoyed ice racing, drag racing and was a dirt bike rider for many years.

He is survived by his significant other, Leta Sontag; children, Kenneth Nugent (Julie Patterson), Ann (Kevin) Houle, Mark (Billie) Nugent and Jennifer Yancey; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, Dennis Nugent. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kitty Ann Taylor.

Private family services have been held.
