David E "Weezy" "Dee" Thomas

David Eugene “Weezy” “Dee” Thomas, 42, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Port Huron, died Monday, September 16, 2024 after courageously battling several health problems over the course of his life.

He was born April 1, 1982 in Port Huron and attended Port Huron Area Schools. He enjoyed drawing, reading and riding motorcycles.

He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Cheryl Thomas; daughter, Averi Anderson; brother, Davon Hawkins; uncles, Joey Frances, Don (Melissa) Anderson, Robert Frank (Renee) Thomas and Curtis Williams; aunts, Sheila Johnson, Sonya Johnson and Colleen Johnson; many cousins, including special cousins and friends, Shawn, Lamont, Kiah and Jontel, Breah and Onrey, CJ, Ceiri and Ce’Niia; as well as many friends, including best friend, Johnay. He was preceded in death by his father, David E. “Peanut” Johnson Jr.; grandparents, Betty Johnson, David E. “Sugar Pie” Johnson Sr. and Julia Pearl Peacock; and uncle, Michael Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Carl E. Miller Sr. will officiate.
