David Wayne Wright, 84, of Clyde Township, died Friday, September 20, 2024.
He was born November 17, 1939 in Lower South Hampton, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Arnold and Alice Wright.
David moved to Tillsonburg, Ontario where he met and married his first wife, Deanna, and had two children. He moved to Port Huron in the 60’s when his employer, 3 D Manufacturing, opened a facility in Port Huron. He later co-owned Specialty Welding and D & H Enterprises prior to his retirement. He joined the Jaycees in 1967 and was a member of the Moose Lodge. David was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed travelling the country with his fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, wintering in Naples, Florida, and hunting in Newbury, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife of seven years, Barbara; daughter, Carol (Raymond) Fischer; step-children, Michelle (Chuck) Fayed, Michael (Madonna) Lukitsch and Todd (Stephanie) Rosbury; grandchildren, Kailie, Amanda, Chaz, Ava, Sophia and Wyatt; three great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Tellenbach and Judy (Vincent) Corey; sister-in-law, Diane Burgoyne; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Deanna; his beloved son, Allan James; siblings, Ruth Brown, Arnold Wright and Marina Helen Rioux; and brother-in-law, Fred Burgoyne.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Pilgrim Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Michael Opfermann will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association or Blue Water Hospice.
