Irma I Schneider

Irma Irene Schneider, 94, of Port Huron Township, went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 23, 2024.

She was born January 25, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Adolph and Amalia Runk. She married her high school sweetheart, Lyell Schneider on July 23, 1949 in Marine City. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2017 after 67 years of marriage.

Irma was a beloved mother to her family and spiritual mentor to many. Her faith in Christ was evident in all she did for others. She was an avid nutritionist and entrepreneur. Words that would best describe her would be a servant of the Lord, a giver and an encourager.

She is survived by four sons, David (Kimberly) Schneider, Robert (Muriel) Schneider, John (Sandra) Schneider and Thomas Schneider (Christy Ellery); eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Bonutti, Brian (Ashley) Schneider, Kevin (Jessica) Schneider, Christopher Schneider, Matthew Schneider, Bradley Schneider, Grace Schneider and Steven Schneider; ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Cunningham, Linda Ferens, Nancy Runk and Debby (John) Hesterberg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2024 in St. Martin Lutheran Church, 805 Chestnut Street, Port Huron, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Branden Hunt and the Reverend Randall Gearhart will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Irma’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
