Rory J Fox

October 4th, 1956 to September 25th, 2024

Rory John Fox, 67, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 4, 1956 in Warren, Michigan to the late Harry and Elizabeth Fox. He married the love of his life, Denise R. Melms on May 24, 2013 in Marysville.

Rory was employed as an electrician in the automotive industry for many years. He was a phenomenal cook and was best known for his homemade BBQ ribs. Rory was also an avid boater and had volunteered for the APBA Gold Cup Hydroplane races in Detroit for over 35 years. He also had a love for fishing which he was taught by his dad at the age of 3. Nothing brought him greater peace than being on the water.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church and looked forward to weekly prayer sessions.

While at Marwood Nursing and Rehab, Rory was a true “light” to all those he met. He enjoyed calling the numbers for Bingo and learned to express himself through art which he grew to love dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Denise; children, Stacy Fox, Melissa (James) Gee, Beck Fox (Amanda Greenwood), Rory Fox II and McKayla Melms; several grandchildren; and sister, Lynda House. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Joe House.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.
