Gerald T. "Jerry" Lepak
Gerald “Jerry” T. Lepak passed away September 26, 2024 at McLaren Macomb after a brief hospital stay.
Jerry was born March 25, 1947 in Detroit, MI to John and Martha (Koweck) Lepak. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia “Judy” Kelly, infant daughter, Angel, and grandson, Ryan Lepak. He is mourned by his children, William Lepak (Ann Kirchmaier), Patrick Lepak (Sharon Khan Lepak), and Sheila Lepak (Karen VanHam). He is also mourned by his grandchildren Jocie, Rianna, Liam Lepak, and Linnea and Haley; significant other, Karen Schulze, his faithful dog, Teddy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerry was a self-made man who owned and operated Lepak Excavating. After retirement, he always kept active. From Old Blue to SeaDoo, he spent countless hours fixing his and other people’s stuff. He enjoyed quality time with his family at deer camp and playing Texas Hold’em. Jerry always said, “Getting old ain’t for sissies” as he powered through project after project until the very end. Losing this generous, strong, hardworking, and honest man has left an immense hole in our lives and hearts.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home with a short graveside service to follow.
