Thelma Collins

Thelma Collins, 96, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, September 29, 2024.

She was born August 24, 1928 in Haddix, Kentucky to the late Sanford and Dorothy Thomas. She married Sidney Collins on October 6, 1945 in Jackson, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2003 after 57 years of marriage.

Thelma was employed with Ford Motor Co. for many years.

She is survived by three children, Barbara, Vernon (Gloria) and Pamela Collins; brother, James (Lee) Thomas; sister, Fayemah Clemons; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, David Collins; four brothers, Oscar, Elmer, Joel and Doyle Thomas; and sister, Laily Cesefske.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the Apostolic Church of Port Huron, 2631 Barth Rd., Kimball. Pastor Shawn Cabot will officiate.

Burial will be in Ruby Cemetery, Clyde Township.
