Maurice Thomas “Moe” Jehl Jr., 84, of Port Huron, died Thursday, October 3, 2024. He was born June 14, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Helen M. and Maurice T. Jehl Sr. He married June Wetzel on November 11, 1967 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Moe served his country, with pride, for two years in the U.S. Navy. He spent most of his career at Mueller Brass Co., retiring in 2002. He then volunteered at the hospital for several years. Moe loved watching ships, his bird feeder, and sports, gardening tomatoes, and completing word puzzles. His greatest joy was seeing his grandchildren play sports (which filled up most of his afternoons).

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, June; two sons, Patrick Jehl (Dawn Sullivan) and William Jehl; daughter, Jennifer Jehl; two grandchildren, Patrick Jr. (Lizzy Kolito) and Shane (Brittany Tuthill); one great grandchild, Jaxon Maurice Jehl; a sister, Rosemary Bruner; a brother-in-law, Alpha Wetzel; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Frank Socha and a grandson, Travis Jehl.

Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Dr. Roxie Davis will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
