Betty Jane Sicklesteel, 86, of Bloomfield Hills, formerly of Port Huron, died Monday, April 2, 2012.
She was born February 11, 1926 in Flushing, New York to the late Charles and Bessie Strattard. She married Thomas G. Sicklesteel on April 7, 1951 in St. Clair Shores. He died August 6, 1990.
Mrs. Sicklesteel was a speech pathologist with the Port Huron Area School District. She was a member of AAUW, the Port Huron Lioness, SC4 Retirees and First Congregational Church. She volunteered for many years at Port Huron Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Campau and Susan (Daniel) Elsea; two grandchildren, Caroline and Camille Elsea; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Doris Strattard.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Campau, Dan Elsea, Stuart Elsea and John Sicklesteel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
