Carl D Rich

Carl D. Rich, 80, of Grant Township, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A force of nature, Carl brought laughter wherever he went, always ready with a joke-whether it was during the best or most difficult of times.

He was born August 14, 1944 in Deckerville to the late Earl and Bertha Rich. Carl was employed with Chrysler prior to his retirement. He could often be found crisscrossing the country roads in his truck, stopping to heckle and raise trouble with friends and neighbors. His evenings were spent around the card table, enjoying the company of his friends and his beloved wife, Donna.

Carl is survived by Donna, his devoted wife; as well as his three children, Dawn (Chuck) Rich, Carl (Tiffany) Rich, and Kaytee Rich. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Tiphani Hoen, Danielle Tyckowski, Hali Rich-Reid, Jason Reid, and David Rich who will carry on his legacy of joy and laughter. Carl has now joined his son, David Rich, in Heaven.

As we honor Carl's memory, his family invites all to celebrate his life with smiles, laughter, and love, just as he would have wanted.

A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday October 22, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, 912 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Scott Stapleford and Pastor Matt Harvey will officiate.

Burial will be in Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Peck.
