Nancy A Evancho

Nancy Ann Evancho, 74, of Eastpointe, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Nancy was born September 6, 1950 in Detroit to the late Peter and Mary Evancho. She grew up in Harper Woods and graduated from high school in 1968.

Nancy spent over 40 years working in the histology labs at Bi-County Hospital and later Henry Ford Hospital. She was a very private person who enjoyed knitting and loved her cats.

Nancy is survived by her son, John (Leslie) Purdom; five grandchildren, Ivy, Layla, Elliott, Guitano and Aveena Purdom; a sister, Joann Fox; niece, Kim Fox; and nephew, Peter. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Al Fox.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Port Huron Church of Christ, 756 17th Street, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. George Hack will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
