Clifford W Jex

Clifford Wellington Jex Jr., 86, of Fort Gratiot, died Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

He was born July 10, 1938 in Detroit to the late Margaret and Clifford Jex Sr. He married Martha A. Lofroth. She preceded him in death on August 18, 2015 after 52 years of marriage.

Clifford was very active in many organizations. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warren and Warren Lodge #427 F&AM. He volunteered as a Shrine Clown for many years and was a hospital volunteer at Ascension Macomb Hospital in Warren. He was an avid collector of many things, including clowns, coins and baseball caps. His wife was his greatest partner, especially for square dancing.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy (Bruce) Borowy; son, Brian (Teresa) Jex; three grandchildren, Sara, Samantha and Max; brother, Fred (Kathy) Jex; two nephews; and one niece. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Jex.

Graveside services will be held in Christian Memorial Gardens West, Rochester Hills.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
